Device Detection

An ongoing industry challenge with the mobile industry has always been reliably detecting and identifying mobile devices. Current device database implementations are segmented across private databases, open-source communities, and small outsourced companies focusing on a manufacturer or other niche. In short, there is not one distinct solution that does it all. Knowing that, we’ve built a multi-layer database system comprised of selected device databases, available services, along with real-world end-user feedback to create a robust, scalable solution.

Our extensible device database allows us to make changes to device information with the release of new devices, or when we discover a record is inaccurate or incomplete. Fresh Platform clients each have the ability to report an issue, or request a new device. This information is acted on by the Fresh team and becomes globally available to all clients in the database. To give back, we do our best to contribute to the available open source projects in the industry.
